Grieving Popovich won't coach Game 3

SAN ANTONIO (AP) LeBron James fought back tears. Former President Bill Clinton offered condolences. Craig Sager's daughter tweeted that she was "just sick" over the news.

Such is the regard that so many, from so many walks of life, have for San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, whose 67-year-old wife, Erin, died Wednesday after a long battle with a respiratory problem.

Spurs star Manu Ginobili says the team is "devastated, we are all hurting." But the players will "go out there and compete" and respect Popovich's philosophy of playing with "fire" and "determination."

76ers C Embiid now probable for Game 3

MIAMI (AP) Joel Embiid is apparently done with Philadelphia's latest process.

Listed as doubtful in the morning, Embiid was upgraded to probable by the 76ers on Thursday afternoon - hours before Game 3 of the Philadelphia-Miami Eastern Conference first-round series.

Holiday, Pelicans in control vs. Blazers

NEW ORLEANS (AP) Jrue Holiday's postseason production is providing Pelicans All-Star Anthony Davis with a more comfortable margin for error �� and has left Portland with precious little.

Holiday's 54 points, 16 assists and slew of defensive successes in the first two games are big reasons why the sixth-seeded Pelicans hold a surprising 2-0 series lead over the third-seeded Trail Blazers as they prepare for Game 3 Thursday night in New Orleans.

$50K in tractors swiped from Pippen farm

HAMBURG, Ark. (AP) Authorities in rural Arkansas are investigating the theft of more than $50,000 worth of equipment from a farm owned by former NBA star Scottie Pippen.

Investigator Mark Griever of the Ashley County Sheriff's Office says two tractors were stolen from the farm in Hamburg, about 110 miles (180 kilometers) southeast of Little Rock. According to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette , Pippen's family is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

DeRozan's 37 power Raptors to 2-0 lead

TORONTO (AP) DeMar DeRozan's big game put the Toronto Raptors in a place they've never been before: up 2-0 in a playoff series.

DeRozan matched his career playoff-high with 37 points, Jonas Valanciunas had 19 points and 14 rebounds and the Raptors beat the Washington Wizards 130-119 on Tuesday night as Toronto took a 2-0 lead in a playoff series for the first time in franchise history.

DETROIT (AP) A Michigan company has filed a federal lawsuit against LeBron James, claiming his digital media platform stole an idea.

Adventure Enterprise is suing "Uninterrupted," which was co-founded by James with business partner Maverick Carter, and Cree Nix for use of a "Shop Talk," concept.
