Junior interested in share of Panthers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) Retired NASCAR driver Dale Earnhard Jr. says he is interested in becoming a minority owner with the NFL's Carolina Panthers.

Ganassi expands DC Solar sponsorship

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) Chip Ganassi Racing has expanded its partnership with sponsor DC Solar, which will offer funding for both Kyle Larson and Jamie McMurray in the Cup Series.

American racing legend Gurney dies at 86

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) Dan Gurney, the first driver with victories in each of the Formula One, IndyCar and NASCAR Cup series, died Sunday from complications of pneumonia. He was 86.

Bell wins second straight Chili Bowl

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Christopher Bell won the Chili Bowl for the second consecutive year, taking command after Kyle Larson's engine appeared to fail as the two raced for the lead.

Larson and Bell had the most dominant cars in the 55-lap feature at the Tulsa Expo Center and seemed only to be racing each other Saturday night. As Bell tried to pass Larson with 12 laps remaining, Larson's car started spewing gray smoke and he pulled off the racing surface. Read More...

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) Chase Elliott took the new Chevrolet Camaro for its inaugural NASCAR Cup laps on Tuesday and Martin Truex Jr. climbed into his Toyota for the first time since becoming series champion. Soon-to-be clean-shaven Ryan Blaney and Aric Almirola, both with new teams, ran laps at Texas Motor Speedway in their Fords.
